THIS is the shocking moment a Mercedes driver pushed a woman off her mobility scooter in a heated road rage row.
Video captured by a member of the public shows the argument between the pair which broke out on the High Street of Horley, Surrey last Friday.
The woman on the scooter appeared to take issue with the fact that the Mercedes driver had driven his car onto what appears to be a mainly pedestrianised area of the town centre.
The clip begins with the woman screaming into the man‘s passenger side window after she is seemingly forced to alter her own path thanks to the motorist’s choice of parking space.
The woman screams: “You’re not supposed to park here, you’re in my path here, f**k off you f***ing w***er.”
The mobility scooter driver, dressed in a hoodie and jogging bottoms then slaps the top of the black German car before driving into the rear bumper and boot of the motor.
This appears to anger the driver who opens his door and begins to struggle with the woman who has met him at the driver’s door this time due to her diversion.
He steps out of his vehicle dressed in a white t-shirt and black shorts and at full height begins to overpower the lady.
The man then topples the mobility scooter over, leaving the helpless woman to crash onto the pavement slabs below.
The woman seems taken aback before apparently noticing youngsters walking nearby, as she asks the man: “Are you staring at kids?”
However, despite her predicament the woman lands another verbal blow pointing at the man as she says: “You f***ing w***er, are you staring at kids? Get off the f***ing road.”
The driver then leans out of his window replying: “You’re f***ing drunk and you shouldn’t be on that [mobility scooter], you lazy f***ing c**t. “
The video comes to a close as the Mercedes driver takes off down the street towards Massetts Road in Horley.
The woman yells: “You are such a pompous a**e.”
The video was shared online on Friday with the caption: “Cannot believe this happened in Horley.”
The clip has since gained over 490 likes and more than 700 comments from people quick to debate over the shocking scenes, saying both individuals were in the wrong.
One said: “She’s wrong and he isn’t right.”
Another added: “No-one comes off well out of this sadness.”
A third alleged: “She was in the chicken shop moments before this happened, being abusive to the staff and swearing in front of young children. Let that sink in before some of you rush to defend her.”
Another replied: “I don’t know what’s worse…the event itself or the town continuing as normal and not helping. I’m in disbelief.”
A fifth reasoned: “Both in the wrong but a clear case of assault and fact no one helped her.”
Another commented: “Looks like he is protecting his property and defending himself. Illegally parked or not, looked like she started and provoked it.”
