Seven players Man City are tipped to sign this January

We’re more than halfway through the January transfer window and Man City are yet to make any significant changes to their squad.

In truth that is not surprising as Pep Guardiola’s side are currently flying at the top of the Premier League, 11 points clear of Liverpool in second.

City did not get to the position they are in without constantly looking for improvements, though it would be a surprise to see Guardiola dip into the transfer market this month.

In case they do make a move, MEN Sport has looked at seven players who Grosvenor are tipping to join the Citizens:

Erling Haaland, Borussia Dortmund – 9/1

Haaland is one of the most sought after players in world football. It looks unlikely that he will leave Germany this summer, but City are favourites to sign him at the end of the season at 6/4.

Dusan Vlahovic, Fiorentina – 8/1

Vlahdovic is highly thought of at the Etihad and would surely make a great addition to Guardiola’s squad.

Arsenal also appear to be very keen on the 21-year-old, though a summer move to the Premier League looks likeliest.

Frenkie de Jong, Barcelona – 9/1

Another player who is also linked with both United and City is De Jong.

Reportedly happy at Barca, the Dutchman may have to leave if their financial situation worsens further.

Harry Kane, Tottenham Hotspur – 10/1

It was the transfer saga of the summer, but it just did not seem to get pushed over the line.

Kane has been in indifferent form since meaning perhaps the boat has sailed on this one. But don’t rule it out.

Jude Bellingham, Borussia Dortmund – 14/1

Bellingham seems destined to come back to England after moving from strength-to-strength in Germany.

The bookmakers, however, do not seem to think that City will be his destination, especially not in January.

Romelu Lukaku, Chelsea – 12/1

Lukaku’s move back to the Bridge looked like astute business from Chelsea at the time.

One interview and a few poor performances later sees the Belgian potentially looking at the exit door in London. It would be a huge gamble for Guardiola to take a chance on him.

Kylian Mbappe, PSG – 30/1

Mbappe is an incredible talent and he is likely to leave the French capital just not this month.

He is 7/1 to sign in the summer. A strike force of Haaland and Mbappe is a frightening prospect for the Premier League, but it probably won’t happen, especially not this month.
