Samsung trumps Microsoft with the launch of an ultimate Windows 11 laptop

Microsoft is holding a major launch event later today, with the US technology firm expected to reveal a swathe of shiny new Windows 11-powered laptops. However, with hours to go until the big announcement from Microsoft, Samsung has just revealed its latest notebook, which will be the very first from the South Korean company to ship pre-loaded with Windows 11.

And that all-new operating system is not the only new feature coming to the Galaxy Book Pro 360, which also gets support for 5G data speeds. That means you can head out for the day and get a superfast connection to the web, even when you’re away from fixed-line broadband.

If you weren’t aware, 5G is the very latest network technology with it offering speeds in excess of 300Mbps – that’s quick enough to download a full HD movie in a matter of minutes.

Along with Windows 11 and speedy 5G downloads, Samsung is also promising all-day battery life and fast charging via a 65W USB-C power brick which can also charge phones and tablets.

Users will also be treated to a stunning 13.3-inch Super AMOLED which can be flipped to transform it into a tablet. An updated S Pen also features for improved scribbling on this pin-sharp panel.

Samsung says that the Galaxy Book Pro 360 5G will be powered by an 11th generation Intel Core processor and Intel Iris Xe graphics for fast gaming and smooth picture and photo editing.

“We have seen a really positive response to our latest computing range launched earlier this year” said Nick Porter, Vice-President of Product Management and Commercial Operations, Samsung UK & Ireland.

“As travel, both home and abroad, gradually opens again, we believe now is the time to supercharge the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 with 5G connectivity to future-proof its experience and give greater flexibility to our customers on where they work or play”.

The Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 5G will be available to pre-order in Mystic Silver from 22nd September and will be available to purchase from It costs £1,349.

If this hasn’t got you excited then don’t forget that Microsoft’s event begins today at 4pm with the firm expected to reveal new Surface tablets, laptops and foldable phone.
