Salim Khan wants Amitabh Bachchan to retire 

Writer Salim Khan, along with his erstwhile partner Javed Akhtar, has penned down several hits for Amitabh Bachchan. Yesterday as the actor celebrated his birthday, the writer spoke to a newspaper. Salim Khan believes that Amitabh Bachchan should retire now. The writer goes on to say that the actor has achieved everything he had in his long running career. And after doing such a good job, he should keep a few years of his life for himself.

Here’s an excerpt of the writer from the daily, “Amitabh Bachchan has played a brilliant innings professionally. He has done good work so he must free himself from the race. He must take a graceful retirement.”

Salim Khan added further that retirement exists so that one can lead their lives on their own terms and do things as they wish. He sets out his own example and says that today he has only non-filmy friends with whom he goes on walks.  Recently there were reports that a docu drama is going to be filmed on the life of Salim and Javed – the hit writer duo. When this happens, Amitabh Bachchan will surely have a huge role to add to it as his movies and the duo’s writing created mammoth success at the box office.
