Saab Magalona after seeing her photo on packaging of whitening product in Cambodia: ‘Why naman ganorn?’

Imagine Saab Magalona’s surprise when she found out that a photo of herself was being used in the packaging of an underarm whitening cream in Cambodia without her knowledge.

Magalona, who was recuperating from COVID-19, was informed by a netizen of her Cambodian market find — the singer-actress flashing a smile, with her arm raised so that her ‘pit is shown on full display on boxes of whitening products. The netizen said: “Hi podmom! I was at the market here in Cambodia (I live here) looking around tapos nakita kita sa carton ng underarm whitening cream.”

“Y naman ganorn (Why is it like this?),” the musician said on Twitter as she shared a screenshot of their private exchange.

Magalona’s fans were amused by her product “endorsement,” as they shared their own witty contribution to the conversation.

Magalona recently revealed that she’s isolated from her husband Jim Bacarro and their kids, Pancho and Vito, after testing positive for COVID-19.

“I was able to dodge COVID for over 3 years and it finally got me. Thankfully, everyone else at home is healthy,” she said on Instagram. EDV
