Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney were every inch the supportive club owners as they joined Wrexham for their latest game.

The Deadpool star, 46, and It’s Always Sunny actor, 45, made a headline-grabbing purchase of Wrexham FC in 2020.

Ryan and Rob took full control of the National League club from the Wrexham Supporters Trust in February 2021, investing £2million under the terms of their deal.

And they’ve been anything but silent partners, as the duo are frequently pictured on the grounds, cheering on their players.

On Monday (April 10), the movie stars were spotted at the Racecourse Ground for Wrexham v Notts County, in the stands and ready for all the action.

Kitted out in club jackets and caps, they were the ultimate Wrexham cheerleaders, appearing engrossed in conversation ahead of the big game.

The A-listers were also more than happy to pose for selfies with adoring fans, heading out into the crowd to chat with footie fans of all ages, who must have thought all their Christmases had come at once.

Ryan and Rob had a camera crew with them too, so does this suggest another documentary is in the works?

They previously explored the history and culture of Wrexham in their hit TV series, Welcome To Wrexham.

The Critics’ Choice Award-winning show documents the team’s progress, and tells the story of the club, founded in 1864, which has the world’s oldest international ground.

Most recently, the actors were awarded Freedom of the County Borough of Wrexham after a council meeting approved the motion, with the vote passing with 46 in favour and two abstaining.

So, Ryan specifically is likely to be spending a lot more time around Wrexham, especially as he’s just splurged on a house.

The Canadian-American – whose wife is Blake Lively – shocked residents of the sleepy Marford village in North Wales after he purchased a property worth a staggering £1.5million.

With Ryan estimated to be worth a whopping £120m, his purchase garnered attention from the local villagers to say the least.

‘The most famous person from Marford is Tim Vincent from Blue Peter, so a Hollywood star is a step up!’, one person claimed.

The source continued telling The Sun: ‘Ryan is moving to Marford and it’s all the locals can talk about. His house is on the poshest road.

‘It might not be the Big Apple but the red carpet will be rolled out when Ryan comes to town’.

It’s thought he’ll use the property as a base for his trips to Wrexham FC.
