Royal parenting rules mean Cambridge children have a very different life from the Sussexes

Therefore, the Sussexes are allowed to have more freedom when it comes to decisions regarding their parenting.

Royal biographer Angela Levin recently told Talk Radio: “Prince Charles has wanted for a very long time to cut the monarchy down to save costs and to make people be worth the money that they got from the taxpayer.

“I imagine that might be when Harry and Meghan are ditched from being members of the Royal family.”

If this is the case, Archie and baby Lilibet will not be made a prince or a princess, and their futures will automatically be quite different to that of their cousins.

DON’T MISS:

The Cambridges live at Kensington Palace, and the children attend Thomas’s Battersea Day School in London.

This is a stark contrast to living in a $14.7 million home in Montecito, California, where Archie and Lilibet will grow up surrounded by Hollywood’s richest celebrities and their children.

Brands love to have their designs worn by the Cambridge children, for instance, Princess Charlotte on her sixth birthday wore a £59 floral dress by Rachel Riley.

On the other hand, Meghan Markle chose to dress Archie in blue and white overalls from H&M when visiting Cape Town, South Africa.

However, Meghan and Harry opted for privacy and released fewer details to the public about their children, which is a privilege they have regarding their line in the succession.

Before Meghan gave birth to Archie, she flew to New York City to celebrate her baby shower organised by her friend Serena Williams.

According to royal commentator Victoria Arbiter, this was not an option for Kate because due to the Royal Family’s wealth, “a lavish baby shower would be seen as highly inappropriate”.

Baby showers are very normal in America, but the intense criticism she received in the UK displayed a major difference between the way the two duchesses operate.

In February, Prince Harry appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden and said Meghan likes to make waffle mixtures for Archie using organic ingredients.

Also, her mother Doria Ragland is a qualified yoga instructor so the Sussexes are definitely health-conscious parents.

In an interview with BBC Breakfast, Kate said: “My children have bottomless pits. I feel like a constant feeding machine.”

Kate has previously talked about how her children love to make homemade pizzas and pastries, implying that the Cambridges are relaxed when it comes to letting the children explore their culinary skills.

Growing up as potential future Kings and Queens means the Cambridges are always going to be exposed to the public, and have a duty to share information with the taxpayer who funds them.

The Sussexes do not share this responsibility, and their parenting styles reflect this.
