MANILA -Gokongwei-led supermarket and specialty retailer Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc. named Stanley C. Co as its new chief operating officer.
Co, who helped engineer the company’s expansion during the tumultuous COVID-19 pandemic, is a veteran in marketing, operations and strategic planning. He has been with Robinsons Retail for over 20 years.
“I am grateful for this opportunity to help lead Robinsons Retail. As we move forward, I hope to continue driving growth and innovation for the business,” Co said in a statement.
Co earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Santo Tomas in 1998 and a masters in business administration from De La Salle University in 2003.
He also served as managing director of Robinsons Retail’s Supermarket Segment, comprised of Robinsons Supermarket, The Marketplace, Robinsons Easymart and Shopwise.
Co also previously headed Robinsons Retail’s DIY Segment. This is the unit that oversees Handyman and True Value and franchises Daiso Japan and Pet Lovers Centre.

Robinsons Retail chair Lance Gokongwei said Co’s contributions to the company led to “meaningful breakthroughs in efficiency and profitability.”
