Resident Evil 4 gets new Steam achievements, suggests inbound DLC

Could this be related to Separate Ways?

The hype for the remake of Resident Evil 4 may have died down, but it’s still out there as one of the best horror games of the year. Upon release back in March, it sold millions in quick succession, showing Capcom was onto another winner.

In the interim, a lot of you have been waiting for the game’s first major DLC, Separate Ways, which would be a remake of the content from the original RE4. We don’t yet know when it’s coming out, but eagle-eyed gamers think the developer is preparing for its launch.

Over on SteamDB (as spotted by Twitter user and known leaker Wario64), a website that tracks all things related to Steam, it looks as though Resident Evil 4 is getting seven new achievements added to the game. There are no details on what these achievements actually are as they’re marked as hidden, but some speculate they could be related to the DLC.

Other theories suggest it could be in relation to the VR version of the Resident Evil 4 remake. All of these are, of course, speculations. Hopefully, Capcom will give further details at some point. In any case, it’s something to keep a close eye on. It looks as though RE4 is preparing for a new patch, but we can’t be sure of the details at this stage. We know Separate Ways is inbound, but these new Steam achievements suggest that it could be arriving sooner than anticipated.
