Reliance Jio’s two new booster plans: How they compare with plans from Airtel, Vodafone-Idea – Times of India

Reliance Jio has announced two new data booster prepaid vouchers, priced at Rs 19 and Rs 29, respectively. The new data booster plans come with add-on data that users can top up over their base plan to get more data. Now, the other two major telecom players — Airtel and Vodafone-Idea — also have similar plans on offer for its prepaid customers. Both companies offer additional data benefits over the base plans.
Here’s how the newly announced Jio data booster plans compare to that of Airtel and Vodafone-Idea.
Reliance Jio vs Airtel vs VI: Rs 19 data booster plans compared
Reliance Jio Rs 19 data pack comes with 1.5GB data. The plan does not have any validity and it is dependent upon the validity of the base prepaid plan.
Airtel, on the other hand, also has a Rs 19 data booster plan that comes with 1GB data. That means, Jio is offering 500MB more data for the same money. Also, the plan has 1-day validity.
Vi also has a Rs 19 data plan that comes with 1GB of data and 24 hours of validity. That means Jio has 500MB more data on offer. Plus, Jio’s plan does not have its own validity so the plan will be valid till the base plan’s validity gets over.
Reliance Jio vs Airtel vs VI: Rs 29 data booster plans compared
Just like the Rs 19 data pack, all three telecom service providers have a Rs 29 data pack. Here’s how they compare.
Reliance Jio is offering 2.5GB of data with this plan. The plan, once again does not have its own validity and it depends upon the validity of the base plan.
Airtel is offering 2GB of data for Rs 29 to its users. And, Vi is also offering 2GB data with this plan. However, Airtel is offering 1-day validity while Vi is offering 2 days validity. This means, the 2GB data will be removed once the plan’s validity gets over. However, in the case of Jio, the data will be available till the base plan gets over.
