Red Hot Chili Peppers have clearly had an absolute blast at the MTV VMAs, going wild for the cameras on the red carpet.
The stars – Anthony Kiedis, Flea, and Chad Smith, provided some…intriguing poses on the red carpet as they prepared to be honoured with the global icon award.
Posing up a storm on the red carpet, Flea jumped into his bandmate’s arms, and was seen being dangled upside down – as you do.
The trio were definitely eye-catching, with Anthony rocking a blue suit and pink shirt, while Flea donned a checked shorts and jacket combo.
Chad, meanwhile, rocked a black and white printed suit with trainers.
The band, who have so far won eight VMAs, will be honoured with one of the most important awards of the night, the global icon award.
Cheech & Chong will present them with the award.
Performing at the VMAs 2022 are stars including Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg and Eminem, Jack Harlow, and Maneskin.
Jack Harlow, Lil Nas X, and Kendrick Lamar are tied for the most nominations of the night, while one of the biggest honours, the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, will go to rapper Nicki.
Meanwhile, it’s been claimed that Johnny Depp will make an appearance at this year’s event.
The Captain Jack Sparrow star is no stranger to MTV award shows and has been nominated multiple times.
In fact, he has taken home five MTV Movie Awards trophies over the years, including three for Pirates of the Caribbean, and the coveted MTV Generation Award in 2012.
