In anticipation of the Oscars in 2023, Ram Charan made his way to the US a few weeks ago. The actor is expected to attend the Oscars 2023 with Jr NTR and SS Rajamouli, as RRR’s Naatu Naatu has been nominated for Best Original Song. Recently, Ram Charan made his appearance on America’s most popular talk show and dazzled everyone with his wit and wisdom.
The actor emphasised how friendship, fraternity, and brotherhood are major themes in the worldwide blockbuster film RRR. Speaking about the film’s director, Ram Charan said, “I think it is one of the finest writings of my director SS Rajamouli. He is known as the Steven Spielberg of India. I hope he ways his way to the global cinema very soon.”
He also attributed Indian film and technicians to the song Naatu Naatu’s Golden Globe win. “It’s a tribute to Indian Cinema. This is the first time the Golden Globes, Academy Awards and multiple other critics awards have recognised us. It is not just RRR, it is the Indian Cinema, Indian technicians who are being honoured. Just when we thought we have achieved everything and it’s time to move on to the next film, west just showed up and showed us that it’s just the beginning,” he exclaimed. It was also revealed that RRR will be re-released in the United States on March 3.
When asked about the personal milestone, Ram Charan stated that he was free when they were not planning for a child and that since they have been expecting, he has had less time for his wife Upasana Konidela. “I have just been packing and unpacking,” he said.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ram Charan will next be seen in S Shankar’s RC15 alongside Kiara Advani. The film is jointly produced by Dil Raju and Shirish Garu under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations for a Pan-India release and will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. It also stars SJ Suryah, Jayaram, Anjali, and Srikanth. The film is slated to release in 2023.
