PS5 Stock: Latest Amazon UK and Very PlayStation 5 restock dates and predictions

UPDATE: Based on the latest updates, the earliest that new PS5 stock could drop this week is today, July 13. The list of potential retailers include Amazon UK, however, gamers are being warned that there is only a slim chance that consoles will be available to buy over the coming hours.

If a new PS5 restock does happen, it’s expected to start between 8am BST and 11am BST.

ORIGINAL: Sony and Microsoft continue to struggle to keep up with demand as UK retailers routinely sell through thousands of consoles each week.

And the latest news regarding the next PS5 stock drops being planned for July have been shared this week by tracker accounts. From what has been shared so far, it looks like Amazon UK could be the next retailer to offer thousands of more consoles to buy.

As always, these reports must be taken with a big pinch of salt until we learn more from official sources. With Amazon UK expected to offer a big restock this week, it could also be joined by some others.

Part of the list currently being circulated is ASDA and John Lewis, as well as Smyths Toys and Very. There are only a series of dates right now for when these PlayStation drops might happen, but this could be whittled down and become much clearer as we get closer to the retail events.

And based on what has been shared so far, the next PS5 stock drop could happen as early as Tuesday, July 13.

This could be joined by John Lewis on July 13, with both PlayStation 5 stock drops between 8am and 11am BST.

As noted above, this is a predicted release date, meaning that it could also drop between July 13 and July 21.

Meanwhile, ASDA and Very PS5 restock could begin on July 14, with the final possible date being July 21.

These are the predicted dates shared by the PS5 Instant Twitter account regarding what could happen next:

  • Amazon UK – July 13-21 (8-10am)
  • ASDA 14-21 (8-11am)
  • John Lewis 13-22nd 7-9am
  • Smyths Toys – July 14-17th
  • Very 14-22nd (9-11am)

One thing to note is that these dates are being shared in regards to future PS5 stock drops online.

And there’s a chance that other leading retailers will offer new in-store bundles before the end of the week.

It follows a surprise PlayStation 5 stock drop this weekend, which started at ShopTo and Scan.

The PlayStation 5 has also been in stock at Argos. The consoles were available on a regional basis, both on browsers and via the Argos app.

Because of the nature of the drop, and the fact that it’s a collection only, customers are encouraged to contact their local store to see if any additional consoles are available.

Knowing when a PS5 restock is happening can be vital but it’s also worth knowing how each retailer handles its shipments.

And here are a few examples of how best to try and buy a PlayStation 5 console from leading UK retailers:

AMAZON UK: Amazon UK runs better under strain but still comes with a few kinks worth mentioning. Having an account set up with your card details is a good start, and gamers should also try adding a console to their wishlist before checking out. More stock is expected during July.

ARGOS: The Argos website is notorious for crashing and being unable to complete purchases when site traffic is high. Stock trackers suggest using the mobile Argos app and keeping an eye on local store listings.

GAME: GAME is a UK retailer that offers the most regular stock updates for PS5 consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout, as this option is less likely to crash when completing a purchase. The next PS5 stock update is expected to start in early July.
