PS Plus Premium slashed in price – just don’t ignore one small detail

If you’re a PlayStation owner looking for the best Black Friday deals, then you’ve come to the right place. Sony is currently offering 12-months of PS Plus Premium access for the record low price of £63.68. Part of Amazon’s limited-time Black Friday sale, that’s a near £40 saving on the regular £99.99 asking price. Taking full advantage of the offer isn’t quite as straightforward as it seems, however, so let us explain how it works.

As part of the Amazon deal you’re essentially purchasing £75 of PlayStation Store credit for the reduced price of £63.68.

With Sony currently selling PS Plus Premium memberships for £74.99 a year over on the PlayStation Store, you can use your store credit to sign up for a 12 month subscription.

The PlayStation Plus Premium deal ends on November 28, so you’ll need to redeem your Store credit and make the purchase before the offer ends.

If you somehow miss the deadline for cut-price PS Plus Premium access on the PlayStation Store, you can still use the £75 credit to make other purchases.

Amazon explains more: “You receive 75 GBP credit which you can redeem in the PlayStation Store to purchase the 25% discounted PlayStation Plus Premium membership only until 28.11.2022.

“After 28.11. the PlayStation Plus price in the PlayStation Store goes back to normal, but the credit can also be used to purchase any other contents in the Store.”

Sony has a pretty big Black Friday sale of its own, so there are lots of cheap games to choose from.

This includes the newly released action game Gotham Knights, which is down to £38.99 for the standard edition.

Elsewhere, FIFA 23 is reduced to £35.99, and just in time to celebrate the start of the World Cup.

Countless PlayStation exclusives have received discounts, including Spider-Man Miles Morales for £24.99, Horizon Forbidden West and Gran Turismo 7 for £34.19, and The Last of Us Part 2 for just £8.74.

New release Sonic Frontiers is down to £34.99, while unique cyberpunk title Stray is £19.99.

You can also make savings on Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA 5, Black Ops Cold War, God of War, Far Cry 6 and Returnal.

Of course, you might not feel the need to make any game purchases if you manage to bag a PS Plus Premium subscription.

Premium members can play online multiplayer, utilise cloud saves, and receive a free selection of games each month.

They can also access Sony’s Game Catalogue, which includes hundreds of full games to download or stream.

Premium subscribers have the added benefit of the Classics library, which are made up of PSOne and PS3 titles.

That’s on top of new game trials, cloud streaming, PC play, exclusive deals and lots more.
