Princess Kate rocks polka dot dress in Southampton

Kate, Princess of Wales looked regal in today as she opened a new residential community.

It has been designed and developed by One Small Thing, a charity with a mission to redesign the justice system for women and their children.

The Princess rocked a chic polka dot dress, mid-length with balloon half-sleeves and a V-neck.

Ever the sustainable fashionista, Kate wore this gown to watch the Men’s Singles Final at Wimbledon in 2022.

Today she accessorised with a white bag and white heeled pumps.

The dress was predominantly navy with white polka dots all over.

Its most interesting feature was its balloon sleeves which cinched in and created dimension against the fitted bodice and skirt.

It boasted ruffles along the neckline and a peplum feature which elevated the look.

The dress also boasted some large white and gold buttons on the bodice.

It’s the perfect colour match for the Princess’s 12ct Ceylon sapphire engagement ring, surrounded by diamonds.

Kate’s shoes were the stylish Silk satin slingback pumps, also by Alessandra Rich, currently retailed at £369 but previously costing £615. She also wore these to Wimbledon last year.

The shoes’ official description reads: “Alessandra Rich invites you to step into the limelight in these slingback pumps.”

Today’s look was complemented by loose waves cascading down below the Princess’s shoulders.

The royal went for a Kate-classic makeup look, complete with blush, bronzer, a dark smokey eye and pink lipstick.
