‘Prince Harry’s a sell-out’ Piers Morgan blasts royal’s ‘sad and totally unnecessary’ move

Prince Harry, 36, will release an “intimate and heartfelt” memoir, published by Penguin Random House, in late 2022. He said in a statement yesterday he was writing his book “not as the prince I was born, but as the man I have become”.

He commented: “I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story — the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned — I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.

“I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a firsthand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful.”

Prince Harry’s announcement has certainly hit the headlines and sparked reaction on social media today.

Piers Morgan, 56, has now shared his thoughts on Twitter and also hit out at the royal’s choice in his latest Daily Mail column.

He wrote: “Harry’s a sell-out, and this is just another example of him selling out.

“It’s sad, pathetic, and totally unnecessary, and it will obviously cause yet more pain to his grandmother who is still mourning the loss of her husband Philip.

“But Harry doesn’t care about that.

“Like his wife Meghan [Markle], he doesn’t care about anyone but himself.”

He went on to blast the Duke of Sussex as a ”spoiled, self-obsessed hypocritical royal brat”.

It’s not the first time Piers had hit out about the royals.

Back in March, the Prince and his wife Meghan gave a “bombshell” interview to Oprah Winfrey.

It was the couple’s first major interview after stepping back from their senior duties and it certainly caused a stir.

The headline-grabbing chat included the Duchess of Sussex discussing her life in the Royal Family.

At one point, she said she felt suicidal and claimed that an unnamed member of the palace had concerns about the colour of their son Archie’s skin.

Prince Harry later refused to name who said it.

Following their interview, Piers hit out at the pair and said he didn’t believe a word they said.

His comments on Good Morning Britain sparked over 57,000 Ofcom complaints, which included one from Meghan.

That evening ITV announced Piers had left the show.
