A CHOIR has gone viral after performing a song during a flight – but no one seems happy about it.
Footage emerged online of the Stellenbosch University Choir giving passengers a mid-flight performance of the song Weeping by Bright Blue.
Members of the choir account for a large number of passengers on board the plane and all of them join in, singing the song in harmony, while their leader stands up in the aisle and conducts.
While their seemingly spontaneous act was no doubt supposed to bring joy to their fellow passengers, people online were far less happy about it.
The footage was shared on Reddit, where several people, including a number of flight attendants said they would not be happy to have that happen on board their flights.
One simply said: “This is my nightmare.”
Another agreed and suggested desperate measures to end the performance early.
They said: “Just crash the plane to make it stop.”
Even people with an appreciation of musical performances weren’t impressed.
One said: “I love singing performances and I love flying, I don’t love them together. This would wreck my nerves.”
Someone else said: “My noise cancelling headphones would go on instantly.”
The choir isn’t the only people to have attempted a mid-air performance.
A Ryanair flight attendant once treated passengers to a rendition of Despacito, which he sang over the plane’s PA system.
Meanwhile an AirAsia cabin crew member was filmed performing the dance from the video for Britney Spears’ Toxic on a plane.
This passenger entertained people after their flight was delayed with a song over the airport terminal PA system.
A flight attendant even treated Shakira to a version of one of her songs mid-air.
