Pixel: Google has started shipping Pixel 7a to retailers: Report – Times of India

Google has already announced the dates of its annual developer conference, I/O 2023 which is set to begin on May 10. At this event, the tech giant is expected to make announcements about multiple hardware and software products. Google may debut the Pixel 7a series, Google Pixel Fold, Android 14 and more at this event.
A post shared by a Twitter user named SnoopyTech claims that the company is already started preparing itself before the launch of the Pixel 7a smartphone. Google has reportedly started shipping out the Pixel 7a models to retailers. The report also mentions that these devices are expected to be shipped within the next couple of weeks. Rumours suggest that the smartphone will be priced under Rs 40,000 in India.

Pixel 7a: Expected specs and design
Google Pixel 7a will join the Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro smartphones in the lineup. The smartphone is expected to sport a 6.1-inch Full HD+ OLED display that may support a 90Hz of refresh rate.
According to a report by GizmoChina, the upcoming Pixel 7a will also retain a sleek design and the signature Pixel metallic visor-like rear camera module.

Pixel 7a’s leaked real-life images and design renders have also been making rounds of the internet. The smartphone is likely to come powered by Google’s custom-designed Tensor G2 chipset which might be backed by 8GB LPDDR5 RAM.
For optics, the Pixel 7a is expected to house a dual rear camera setup which may include a 64MP Sony IMX787 main sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide angle lens. The smartphone may also feature a 10.8MP front shooter for selfies and video calls.
The battery details of the Pixel 7a are still unknown, however, rumours suggest that the smartphone may support 5W wireless charging. Pixel 7a may run on Android 13 out of the box.
