Apple explains: “When you’re in a Family Sharing group, you can share Apple subscriptions and eligible App Store subscriptions with other family members.

“If your Family Sharing group has purchase sharing turned on, any subscriptions shared with the group are billed directly to the organizer’s default payment method.”

The sharing plan can be applied to lots of popular subscription apps including Apple Music, iCloud+ and Apple TV+.

If you want to turn on Family Sharing, you’ll need to head to settings on your iPhone or iPad.

Then click Family Sharing and you’ll see a message pop up.

It reads: “Share your subscriptions and music, movie and other media purchases with up to five people.”

You’ll be able to share current and future subscriptions as well as purchases.

Shareable purchases include apps, movies, TV shows, and books.

A Family Sharing plan also lets adults control the screen time of child accounts.

They’ll also be able to set content restrictions.

Click continue, and you’ll be taken to the Invite Family page.

Apple will give you suggestions of who to invite.

You can also click Invite Others or Create Child Account.

Once you’ve selected participants, follow the steps until you can select subscriptions to share.

Apple notes: “If you don’t see Share with Family, the subscription isn’t eligible for sharing.”
