Canada vs. USA odds
Canada made light work advancing out of the group stage posting a 3-0-1 record with a plus-8 goal differential. Its only loss was a 2-1 defeat against Honduras as the visiting team.
The Reds were -143 favourites against Panama in their semifinal matchup and won 2-0 behind goals from Alphonso Davies and Jonathan David. It was an impressive outcome considering Panama went undefeated in Group B (3-1-0) while not conceding a goal.
But this test will be different.
The United States blew through Group D with a 3-1-0 record and a tournament-best plus-12 goal differential. The Stars and Stripes then handed Mexico a 3-0 defeat in the semifinal, outshooting the Tricolour 11-5.
But that win wasn’t without a cost, though. Both Weston McKennie and Sergino Dest received red cards late into the contest when things got heated. Neither will be available to play Sunday.
McKennie and Dest are two of the USA’s top players with the former having the second-most caps (44) and goals (11) of anyone on the team. Christian Pulisic and Timothy Weah will have to bring their A-game to make up for his absence.
But even with those two missing, the USA are +110 favourites. That makes sense considering Canada hasn’t won on American soil this century.
