Oppo is working on its first foldable phone and it is expected to launch it in November 2021, reports GSMArena. Some of the key specs have been revealed in the report but it is unclear what will be the name of the device. It will be launched in China and there is no information on whether this device will be made available globally. Apart from this device, Oppo is also expected to announce the Reno7 series of smartphones in China next month. The lineup is said to include Reno7, Reno7 Pro, and Reno7 Pro+. These models are likely to feature Dimensity 920, Dimensity 1200, and Snapdragon 888 chipset, respectively.
Oppo foldable phone key specifications
Oppo foldable phone is expected to feature an inward folding design like the Galaxy Z Fold3 and the Huawei Mate X2. It is rumoured to be equipped with Samsung’s 8-inch LTPO OLED panel that offers a 120W refresh rate. The device may come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888.
This device is expected to feature a Sony IMX766 50-megapixel primary camera on the back. For selfies, it may possess a 32-megapixel front camera. For security, it may feature a side-facing fingerprint scanner.
It is also rumoured to come equipped with a 4500mAh battery, which will carry support for 65W fast charging. It is expected to come pre-installed with ColorOS 12, but it is unclear whether it will feature the latest Android 12 or last year’s Android 11.
