It’s been a pretty stressful time promoting her controversial film Don’t Worry Darling, so it’s no wonder Olivia Wilde cut loose at Gucci’s London Fashion Week party last night.
The former OC actress attended the Gucci Love Parade spring summer fashion show in Los Angeles on Monday, enjoying some much-needed downtime after a hectic few weeks of jet setting.
She then hopped and skipped it over to Gucci’s afterparty at The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel where she was spied cutting shapes on the dancefloor, notably belting out the lyrics to Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson’s Uptown Funk and showing off her moves.
Olivia, 38, seemed to be happy and relaxed as she danced the night away and mingled with friends, occasionally stopping for brief conversation.
No doubt the actress was especially keen for a night out after the drama surrounding her new film Don’t Worry Darling, which she directed and stars her boyfriend Harry Styles and Midsommar actress Florence Pugh.
The film’s promotional tour has been riddled with controversy, kicking off with the film’s former lead actor Shia LaBeouf denying Olivia’s claim that he was fired from the project before being replaced by Harry.
It was then reported that Florence had decided to limit press for the film leading to speculation of tension between the cast, but it was said this was down to the actress’s filming commitments on Dune 2, which she was filming in Budapest at the time of Venice Film Festival.
Speaking of Venice, it was at the film festival screening where Harry was accused of spitting into co-star Chris Pine’s lap in a viral video. However, all parties involved – including Olivia – vehemently denied this happened and it was put down to an ‘illusion’.
Amid all the chaos, Don’t Worry Darling opened to pretty strong numbers with a healthy $19million (£17.5million) box office debut last weekend.
Olivia and Harry’s romance is also still going strong with the lovebirds recently spotted on a romantic stroll together.
Don’t Worry Darling is out in cinemas now.
