Earlier, Lt Gen (retd) Prof Bipin Puri, vice-chancellor of KGMU, thanked the governor for her attempts to complete hostel construction, which was hampered for four years between 2017- 2022 since Rajkiya Nirman Nigam didn’t obtain the NOC from ASI. Prof Puri said, “Without the efforts of the governor and chief secretary, it could never have been finished.”
Speaking at the ceremony, deputy chief minister Brijesh Pathak, who also holds the health and medical portfolio, stated that nursing services play a crucial role in healthcare.
Pathak said that KGMU is setting new records in many months, recently it has also achieved A grade in NAAC last evening, this is a big thing, it is showing the better quality of our education.
