Laura Tobin, 40, has opened up about how she saves water by reusing baths with her husband, Dean Brown, and her five-year-old daughter Charlotte. In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, the meteorologist said: “Having a bath uses significantly more water than having a shower, so you really should have baths sparingly.
“I will have a shower and wash myself and my hair as my daughter sits in the bottom and it slowly fills up.
“She washes in that bathwater, then when we are done my husband jumps in.”
When asked how she feels about people turning their nose up at the family’s washing habits, Laura hit back: “We aren’t that dirty, it’s fine, we all come out clean and we have massively reduced our water intake by doing that.
“How dirty have you got to be to not want to share a bath with someone?!”

The presenter warns that if we don’t reduce our usage of water then we will see devastating weather conditions in the UK.
She explained: “The population growth in the UK and the changing weather patterns means that we will have water shortages.
“The winters are going to get warmer and wetter, but the summers are going to get hotter and dryer.
“So, we are potentially going to have more floods in the winter and then droughts in the summer.”
Another tip Laura suggests is not rinsing dishes before putting them in the dishwasher.
She says this is because a “dishwasher uses half the water of washing up in a sink” and that you can just stick them in a bowl full of water rather than rinsing them under a tap.
Laura has listed more eco-friendly tips in her new book, Everyday Ways To Save Our Planet.
The book offers simple changes everybody can make to be kinder to the environment in a bid to reduce climate change.
The mother-of-one says she hopes the book will make “everybody stop and think about what we do, how we live our lives, and how over consuming we are because of habit”.
Her sustainable swaps include brushing teeth with a bamboo toothbrush and toothpaste tablets, washing with shampoo bars, walking more, insulating homes and lowering thermostats.
