Several social media users have shared a clip of a Sikh man getting baptised, a Christian rite of admission and adoption. It has been claimed that the man is Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Channi.

Multiple Twitter users have shared it including @Sourabh3507, @PunitTyagiBjp, and @Ravindr14670837.

Several users posted this video on pro-BJP Facebook pages such as सच से सामना Sach Se Samna [5,000 members], Stop Conversions in India [5,000 members] KADVA SACH [26,000 members], Republic Tv [30,000 members] and Pushpendra Kulshrestha: Hindu Sher [56,000 members].

In the video, the priest can be heard saying, “I baptise Simranjit Singh as Samuel…” This itself debunks the false claim. We found that a Facebook user had shared the video mentioning Simranjit Singh.
