Nicola Peltz denies drama with Victoria Beckham over wedding dress
The actress, who married Brooklyn Beckham in April, wore a Valentino gown for the big day, despite some being convinced she would wear a dress designed by Victoria.
Nicola, 27, has now insisted that the Beckhams are ‘great in-laws,’ and shut down any suggestions of drama.
She said she had initially planned for Victoria to design her dress, telling Grazia that, after she spoke to Victoria about the dress, she didn’t hear anything for a few days, until Victoria called her mum to tell her that the atelier couldn’t make the dress.
She went on to opt for Valentino, who she’s a big fan of.
Nicola added to Grazia: ‘When I read things that say [things like] I was never planning on wearing a [Victoria Beckham] dress or things like that, it does hurt my feelings. I try not to let it, but it’s just not the truth. It’s just a bit of a bummer when you’re like, “Oh, people think that,” but it’s just not true.’
Brooklyn weighed in: ‘To be honest, my wife is obviously my first priority and I never want to see her upset ever. When people do say ridiculous things, we just talk about it and we just move on. We have each other’s back 100 percent and we just move on together.’
The couple have been completely loved up since tying the know in Palm Beach earlier this year, but Nicola recently admitted they didn’t even get on when they first met.
‘I actually met Brooklyn like six years ago at Coachella, through one of my brothers; his name is Diesel,’ she explained.
‘We really didn’t get along. He had a girlfriend and I had a boyfriend, and we just didn’t click at all.’
Nicola added to Wonderland magazine: ‘Diesel was like, “Oh my friend Brooklyn wants to crash at our house”, because all my brothers rented a house for Coachella. We barely interacted. We look back at pictures, like group pictures, and I’m with my boyfriend and Brooklyn’s in the corner.’
The pair then started dating in 2019 and the rest is history!
