Nicola Adams and girlfriend Ella Baig have revealed the name of their first baby.

The couple announced the birth of their baby on July 11, with former Strictly Come Dancing star Nicola sharing that she was ‘overwhelmed with love and proud of Ella’.

Model Ella, 24, and her boxer girlfriend, 39, have had plenty of ups and downs on their pregnancy journey, with Ella suffering a miscarriage following IVF treatment.

Nicola and Ella – who have been together – shared that their baby’s name is Taylor Nate Adams.

‘My son being born is the most amazing thing that’s ever happened to me. I can’t even explain the feeling – I felt this instant love,’ Nicola told Hello!

When it came to choosing the perfect name, the former boxing pro said they didn’t want to get ‘stuck on one name’ just in case it didn’t work.

‘We had a few names in mind because we wanted to see what he looked like first to see if the name suited him,’ she added.

Earlier this year, Nicola and Ella announced they were expecting their first child together ‘after what feels like a lifetime’ of IVF.

Nicola revealed they had been trying for three years to have a baby using her egg and a sperm donor who resembles Ella.

In a joint Instagram post along with a picture of them kissing and another of the baby’s scan, they wrote: ‘We’re so excited to announce that our family is expanding.

‘After what feels like a lifetime, we can finally say we’re going to be parents! We’re so excited to share this magical journey with you all, the ups, the downs everything in between

‘Welcome to the world little one.’

The sports star, who was the first woman to win a boxing Olympic gold medal, detailed their fertility journey in Vogue magazine.

‘We decided that Ella would carry the baby, that we’d use my egg, and find a sperm donor that resembled Ella, she said.

‘Unbeknownst to us, Ella went through her first rounds of IVF with an underactive thyroid which can dramatically impact the chances of having a healthy pregnancy.’
