NFL Week 12 Weather Updates: Lack of rain, wind, snow in forecast eases fantasy start ’em, sit ’em decisions
Snow was a bit of a worry a couple weeks ago, and rain caused a couple problems last week. We’ve also seen wind be an issue at times this year. Heading into Week 12, there’s no snow, barely any rain, and only very mild winds in the forecast. It’s a Thanksgiving miracle. Still, we know forecasts are always subject to change, so we’ll be keeping track off all the latest developments ahead of your fantasy start ’em, sit ’em decisions. Fortunately, RotoGrinders’ meteorologist Kevin Roth will help us break down the weather updates you need to know.
Before we get into the Week 12 forecasts, here’s a reminder that if you have any questions about sports weather or how weather could impact play (and, potentially, your fantasy, DFS, and gambling decisions), don’t hesitate to reach out to RotoGrinders’ meteorologist Kevin Roth on Twitter (@KevinRothWx) or check out the hourly NFL weather forecasts on RotoGrinders. Eagles @ Giants. This game has about a 20-percent chance of seeing rain, but with temperatures expected to be in the low 40s and very mild winds, there’s no need to worry about weather conditions affecting your lineup decisions. We’ll still watch to make sure the precipitation chances don’t tick up closer to kickoff.
WEEK 12 DFS LINEUPS: DraftKings | FanDuel | Yahoo
Steelers @ Bengals. Temperatures in the low 40s, very little chance of precipitation, and winds around 10 mph — in other words, about as good as you’re going to get for a late-November game in Cincinnati. Unless the winds are expected to be gustier, don’t worry about this game.
WEEK 12 PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker
Rams @ Packers. This will likely be the coldest game of the week, with temperatures in the low-to-mid 30s. The wind could gust up to around 15 mph, too. However, these conditions are nothing new for former/current NFC North veterans Matthew Stafford or Aaron Rodgers, so barring a turn for the worse in the forecast, the weather shouldn’t affect your lineup choices.
WEEK 12 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker
All of this is subject to change as we get closer to kickoff. You can follow meteorologist Kevin Roth on Twitter (@KevinRothWx) and check out the hourly NFL weather forecasts on RotoGrinders. For the best weather-related fantasy advice, take a look at WeatherEdge.
