New York Mets’ newest addition to the roster is an 11-week-old puppy — and fans can name him

Meet the mutt, meet the mutt, step right up and greet the mutt.

The Mets have a new veteran service dog — a cute and cuddly 11-week-old black Labrador — and fans get to cast their votes on what to name him through Sunday on Twitter.

Close to 6,000 have already weighed with such monikers as Homer, Scout or Seaver. The winning name will be announced Monday.

The pooch will be with the team for a year and replaces Shea, the service dog who was with the Mets last season.

The Mets are the first MLB team to welcome a future service dog, and have raised $100,000 for the nonprofit America’s VetDogs, which pairs the canines to veterans and first responders with disabilities.

America’s VetDogs, based in Smithtown, LI, and the Amazin’ Mets Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Mets, will co-raise the dog in order to one day send him to an individual in need.

“The dog is going to be a star,” John Miller, president and CEO of America’s VetDogs, told The Post. “We had him at Citi Field earlier this week . . . and he just fell in love with the players and the facility. Francisco Lindor spent some time with him.”
