‘Never the greatest dancer’ James Jordan grills Brendan Cole’s Dancing on Ice performance

Former Strictly Come Dancing professional James Jordan, 43, has grilled his old co-star, Brendan Cole, following his debut on ITV’s Dancing on Ice. Never one to mince his words, James took to Twitter shortly after Brendan’s performance received rave reviews from the judges.

James, who won the skating show in 2019, wrote in view of his 302,000 followers: “Just watched Brendan Cole on catch-up on Dancing on Ice.

“I hate to admit it but he’s b****y brilliant!

“He was never the greatest dancer but when it comes to ice skating, I think he’s going to be one of the best ever.

“Well done mate – and well done Vanessa for putting up with him.”

The ballroom dancer was left emotional after judge Christopher Dean branded his opening skate as “the best first performance” he’d seen during his stint on the hit ITV show.

The skating legend told viewers: “Okay, that was the best first performance I’ve ever seen by a celebrity in all 14 series.

“Brendan, you’re on the edge all the time, it can go fantastic or fantastically wrong but tonight it was on form.

“You were great… You were strong, you were superior, you were masculine and what I really, really appreciate is your getting onto the ice.
