Dolphins forwards Felise Kaufusi and Kenny Bromwich will face a nervous wait from the match review committee after both stars were put on report in a fiery clash against their old side, the Melbourne Storm.
In the NRL’s Indigenous round, the Storm finished 24-16 winners with tensions threatening to boil over on several occasions.
Kaufusi was sent to the sin bin two minutes into the game for a high shot on Christian Welch while Bromwich was put on report late in the game.

The New Zealand international elbowed ex-teammate Nick Meaney in the head at the completion of a tackle with 17 minutes left.
“Another former Melbourne star finds himself in a little bit of hot water, he went on with the tackle on Meaney, really the tackle was well and truly over,” commentator Andrew Voss said on Fox League.
“He’s lucky to just be on report… not Kenny Bromwich’s finest moment there.”

The incident appeared to fire up the Dolphins though with Jamayne Isaako scoring his second try two minutes later.

Earlier, the Storm were out to a strong lead with the score 24-4 at half-time with Will Warbrick scoring while Kaufusi was off. Cameron Munster, Eliesa Katoa and Reimis Smith also went over.
With Isaako’s try, the score became 24-10 before Kodi Nikorima made it 24-16 with seven minutes remaining to give the Dolphins a sniff.
Melbourne’s defence managed to hold off the Dolphins though to give Craig Bellamy another win over his former mentor Wayne Bennett.
Dolphins captain Jesse Bromwich admitted post-game that his side may have taken it a bit too far with its aggressive approach.
“Obviously coming up against our old club, we wanted to go out there and make a difference,” he told Fox League.
“If we’re to do that again, we’d do a few things differently. We obviously went overboard a couple of times there but the boys put in a huge effort and at least made a game of it.”
