MyGov has helped citizens engage with the government: IT minister

The use of technology and platforms such as MyGov has enabled citizens to benefit from various government services and schemes, the minister of electronics and information technology (IT), Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Saturday during an event in New Delhi.

While speaking about MyGov 2.0, he said the platform has helped citizens engage with the government and encouraged more citizens to share their thoughts.

Vaishnaw also launched the Responsible AI for Youth 2022 initiative, which was created by the ministry’s National E-Governance Division, Intel India and the ministry of education.

The program will be open to all school students studying in classes 8-12 to foster a deeper understanding of AI-tech and encourage youngsters to become human-centric designers, the ministry said in a statement.

“Extremely proud of team MyGov for putting their best in ensuring we meet the expectations of citizens through participatory governance,” Abhishek Singh, chief executive officer of MyGov said.

MyGov is the Indian government’s citizen engagement platform launched in 2014. It is a one-stop destination for citizens to contribute their unique skills towards nation-building while also bridging the communication gap through the dissemination of information in various formats and mediums.
