A woman and toddler were left in shock after a white car that strayed on the wrong side of the road smashed head-on into their vehicle.

Before crashing with the camera car, the white car also clipped a black pick-up truck that was in front of them.

The incident took place on a narrow highway at Weir Views in Victoria, Australia in October.

Seconds before the accident, you can hear the mum asking her toddler a question.

The mum asked: “Do you want this song?” before the oncoming car barrels into them.

Fortunately, all of the people involved in the accident survived.

In an interview with the Daily Mail Australia, a spokesperson from Victoria police said: “Investigators alleged a car crossed onto the wrong side of the road and collided with another car before colliding with another vehicle.

“The driver of the first car, a 44-year-old man from Truganina, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

“No one was injured in the second vehicle, while a woman and child in the third vehicle were taken to hospital for observation,” the spokesperson added.

The investigation to clarify the accident is still ongoing.

On Twitter users were unsure why the white car lost control, with one person saying: “This is why flexible wire barriers dividing traffic save lives.”

Another said: “Unsure why the driver went onto the wrong side of the road, was distracted, fell asleep, medical episode?”
