Millions of TV fans warned of major channel changes including BBC Three HD
MILLIONS of telly watchers in the UK have been warned of fresh changes to their channels, including that of BBC Three HD.
Freeview has shuffled six popular channels, so if your favourite TV station is not where you last found it – fear not.
Here are the six channels that have moved:
- Channel 5+1 has moved from channel 46 to 38.
- 5SELECT has moved from channel 56 to 46.
- GREAT! tv can now be found on channel 50 after a re-tune.
- Viewers who could previously receive the channel will see the old copy of GREAT! tv move to channel 792.
- BBC Three HD has moved from channel 109 to 107 in England and Northern Ireland.
- The HD channel is not carried on Freeview transmitters in Wales and Scotland.
- Together TV can be found on channel on 83 after a re-tune.
- However, the channel can now be streamed online.
- Together TV+1 has moved from channel 92 to 90.
BBC Three HD – which will host this weekend’s live Glastonbury coverage – has moved to channel 107 – the slot previously used by BBC News HD until its removal from Freeview a year ago.
Changes were made to nearly 20 Freeview channels this week.
It forms part of the broadcaster’s efforts to tidy up channels and fill gaps in the streaming section.
After the rearrange, most gaps in channels have been filled.
Here’s a list of other channels that have moved:
- Vision TV – moves from channel 264 to 261.
- Arise News – moves from channel 269 to 262.
- Fail Army – moves from channel 274 to 264.
- Pet Collective – moves from channel 278 to 266.
- Al Jazeera English (streamed version) – moves from channel 285 to 267.
- Al Jazeera Arabic – moves from channel 286 to 268.
- WION News – moves -from channel 287 to 269.
- Real Crime – moves from channel 288 to 270.
- Asharq News – is currently duplicated on channel 272 and 274.
- Al Arabiya – is currently duplicated on channel 273 and 275.
