Anthony Seibold’s tenure as coach of Manly has taken an early hit with a fresh injury to superstar Tom Trbojevic.
The million-dollar fullback fell to the ground during a training session on Wednesday and was taken for scans.
Reports say it’s a hamstring issue. Trbojevic, 26, has suffered serious hamstring injuries in the past.

“Please be advised that Tom Trbojevic did not complete today’s field session due to injury,” the Sea Eagles said in a statement.
“He will be sent for scans as a precaution. The club will advise of any confirmed news once known.”
Any injury to the gun No.1 would be a bitter blow for Manly and for the club’s new coach.
He is undoubtedly the most important player on the Sea Eagles list, evidenced by the winning ratio of the team when he’s playing against when he’s not playing.
Their 2022 season was cruelled the minute he suffered a serious shoulder injury after playing only seven games. He didn’t feature again this year.
In 2020 he also only played seven games when he injured a hamstring in pre-season, and then a shoulder later in the campaign.
Seibold was appointed last month following the messy exit of Des Hasler at the end of the season.
