As we all know, things are not looking good for Xbox right now. Recently, CMA blocked Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard, which was going to be a game changer for the company. Moreover, Arkane’s Redfall has had a sloppy launch as well.

Phil Spencer, who is the head of all things Xbox at Microsoft, recently appeared on the Kinda Funny Xcast to talk about some of the incidents that have occurred in recent times. At the podcast, Spencer took responsibility for the poor launch for the title and acknowledged all the issue it was facing.

Spencer also stated that Xbox has a different vision than others, which is to play the games you want, with the people you want, anywhere you want. He further noted that the brand want Xbox buyers to feel they are proper members of the ecosystem. He then went on to say, “We are not in the business of out-consoling Sony or out-consoling Nintendo”.

Spencer maintained that the company aims to make every console owner feel like their part of a first-class experience and wants the community to feel awesome. He adds to this by stating that it will not be the case that if Starfield is an 11/10 then players will start selling their PS5s to move to Xbox. He ends by sharing that console will always remain the core of the Xbox brand and they will make sure that this experience remains awesome. Interested readers can check out the full podcast below:
