Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign Danny Ings this summer as back-up to Cristiano Ronaldo, according to reports. Ings only moved to Aston Villa from Southampton last summer, but could be available to any potential suitors in time for next season.
Ings, 29, netted seven goals in the Premier League last season. He cost Villa around £26million when moving there in 2021.
However, any deal struck-up during the upcoming transfer window could prove to be a bargain for United, Arsenal or any other clubs hoping to add strength in depth. Arsenal are looking for a first-choice option to lead their attacking line, while United want a versatile forward to support Ronaldo as and when needed.

Reports from 90min claim those clubs have been ‘offered’ cut-price Ings now the market has reopened. The former Liverpool and Southampton frontman has two years left to run on his contract.
Elsewhere, mooted United target Christian Eriksen will make a decision on his future in the coming weeks after his current side Brentford reportedly offered him a new contract. Eriksen, 30, signed a short-term agreement with the Bees in January after leaving Inter Milan.
The west London club gave the Denmark playmaker a chance to revive his career after he suffered a cardiac arrest while on Euro 2020 duty. Eriksen returned to top-flight action five months ago and played 11 games for the Bees last season as they comfortably secured Premier League status.
United and Tottenham are both said to be in the market for him. However, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, only Brentford have firmed up their interest with a formal offer for the soon-to-be free agent.
