MANCHESTER UNITED are set to make a £45million bid for Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, according to reports.
Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag is keen to find a new first-choice No1 this summer.
This comes after David De Gea made a number of high-profile errors in the season and struggled to adapt to the manager’s passing demands.
The 32-year-old’s contract runs out at the end of this month and he is yet to sign a new deal.
SunSport exclusively revealed that the Spaniard will have to accept a vastly reduced wage of £200,000-a-week or will be allowed to leave.
Man Utd are lining up replacements or competition for De Gea with Pickford on their radar.
The Daily Star claim that Everton are “strapped for cash” and may have to let the 29-year-old go.
Pickford has been at the Toffees for the last six seasons since arriving from Sunderland.
He has helped the club maintain their Premier League status in recent years.
Pickford is also England’s No1 with 53 caps to his name.

Man Utd have also been linked with Inter Milan keeper Andre Onana after Chelsea pulled out the race for his signature.
It is set to be a busy summer at Old Trafford with the club keen to land a striker and midfielder too.
The likes of Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Chelsea’s Mason Mount are some of the names supposedly of interest to the club.
