‘Makes too much sense’ – Man United fans react to Boubacar Kamara transfer link

Manchester United fans are feeling sceptical in response to links with a swoop for Boubacar Kamara.

The 22-year-old is out of contract next summer and, according to reports, the Marseille star has been earmarked as potential alternative to Declan Rice this January transfer window – along with Ruben Neves from Wolves.

United were unable to secure a top-level defensive midfielder last summer after completing deals for Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane, while Cristiano Ronaldo was also welcomed back to Old Trafford.

Key figures in the boardroom have identified that as a priority area for the next two windows.

There are concerns that West Ham might dig their heels in over a valuation for Rice, leaving United to pursue other options, too, including Kamara, who progressed through the Marseille ranks and has been capped nine times by France at U21 level.

Here are a selection of comments from United fans about him on social media platform Twitter…

@UtdShuzzie said: “This makes too much sense for United so I’m writing it off.”

@kammyk10 posted: “Kamara is 22 and a risk-free signing and wouldn’t cost a lot either.”

@SalasUtd added: “We need more than one midfielder for starters, but one thing that is for certain is that Neves needs to be the priority.”

@srajan57 said: “The way we make decisions, I don’t expect any signings in the January window.”

@Harlzyy posted: “Now we’re talking.”

@puneettv22 added: “We will keep looking. That’s it.”
