Madonna, 64, had Cardi B fuming after she claimed that she “paved the way” for artists like her by “empowering” herself a woman earlier in her career.
The Material Girl, whose photoshoots still remain controversial to this day, says the images published in her 1992 book Sex, which included nudes and same sex kissing, saw her branded “a wh**e, a witch, a heretic and the devil”.
Implying that she changed the game for everyone who arrived on the pop scene after her, she crowed: “Now Cardi B can sing about her WAP. Kim Kardashian can grace the cover of any magazine with her naked a**, and Miley Cyrus can come in like a wrecking ball… you’re welcome, b***hes!”
However, Cardi B quickly fired back on Instagram that she was “disappointed” to read the comments and didn’t like Madonna’s “tone”, especially as she’d added a clown emoji to her words.
Since then, the pair publicly stated that they’d chatted and made up, with Cardi saying it had been a “beautiful” conversation, and Madonna reciprocating the praise by saying she loved her.
Yet Madonna has now taken to Instagram and twerked in a corset to one of Cardi’s tunes, Tomorrow 2, while mouthing some of the words, which included: “She say she don’t f*** with me (who?), who said that you can, h*?… Wonder what I’ll do tomorrow that these h**s will be mad at.”
