Ryan Thomas, 37, is set to appear on ITV’s The Games – and has said that he hopes Lucy doesn’t give birth during his stint on the new show.
He said: ‘Well the problem we’ve got is my wife-to-be is due any time so I’m hoping it doesn’t come between the show.’
Meanwhile, Lucy, who is already mum to Roman, two, admitted she has no plans to throw a baby shower ahead of her due date.
The former Towie star, 30, said that her sister was in process of organising a garden party this weekend but the rainy forecast had ruined their plans.
Alongside an update on the gloomy weather, Lucy wrote: ‘Bye bye baby shower!’
‘I wasn’t sure whether to do a baby shower but my sister was organising one in my garden Sunday but then the weather changed. Gutted!!!!’
Ryan also discussed training for the new show and admitted: ‘The guys, the celebrities are fantastic and they’ve all made massive progress and I’m really proud of them.
‘But, yeah it’s so hard the coaches are just filling you with so much information all the time.’
It comes as Lucy opened up about the fact that Roman was suffering from fluid on his lungs.
In September, Roman was rushed to hospital after Lucy found him ‘blue in his cot’. After he arrived, he was taken straight into intensive care and placed on a ventilator.
Despite the fact Lucy and Ryan were allowed to take him home a week after he was admitted, Roman has been having regular checkups since.
Taking to her Instagram Story, the former Towie star explained that specialists had reached a diagnosis after conducting a videofluoroscopy – which is a moving X-ray that can be taken as a patient takes fluid.
In her post, she wrote: ‘It was to check that there wasn’t any fluid when he drinks going down the wrong way and into his lungs.’
‘I honestly thought that it wasn’t going to show that, so I kept my day’s work in and he went with Ryan.
‘I like to be at all the appointments but Ryan rang me and said it was showing there is fluid going into his lungs.’
She added that it was a conclusion she felt ‘really weird about’, and said: ‘I’m sad for Roman. Now, from Monday, when we pick up the thickener, he can’t have any thin fluids for quite a long time – potentially years.
‘So no lollies and ice creams, no water or juice. Everything has to be a really thick consistency to stop it from entering his lungs.
‘But we have an answer. Maybe it’s not the full picture, I don’t know yet because we’ve not seen his consultant, but it’s something.’
Lucy concluded: ‘It’s a step forward and is something we can deal with and is something that will hopefully stop him getting so sick. It’s a positive in a way, because we’ve got a little bit closer to the answer.’
