Prior to becoming a household name by appearing on Love Island, Molly Marsh, 21, seemed to be inspired by her Coronation Street actress mum, Janet Marsh, as she paid a visit to the set of Emmerdale and met the cast.
Molly, who has already followed in her soap star mum’s footsteps by carving out her own performing career in pantomimes and theatre, shared several snaps from the Emmerdale village back in August 2022.
The reality TV star was invited to the famous ITV set to celebrate Emmerdale’s 50th Birthday and Rhona Goskirk (played by Zoe Henry) and Marlon Dingle’s (Mark Charnock) wedding.
Making the day out into a family affair, Molly brought her grandma along for the party.
Molly was pictured posing by the Emmerdale village sign, wearing a bright yellow denim jacket paired with a black crop top and matching leggings.

She accessorised with oversized sunglasses and white trainers, as she smiled alongside her grandma.
Molly also took a photo opportunity with Emmerdale stars Zoe and Mark, before snapping a picture outside The Woolpack.
She captioned the snaps: “AD | Day at the Emmerdale village celebrating RHONA & MARLONS Wedding & Emmerdale’s 50th Birthday with my grandma! @emmerdale @itv.”
It comes after Molly revealed her Corrie star mum Janet is “really supportive and excited” about her stint in the Love Island villa.
Janet has landed several roles in Coronation Street over the years, appearing on the soap as a nurse, a receptionist and an ITU worker.
She has also started in TV series including Bodies, Where The Heart Is and Still Open All Hours.
When quizzed on whether Janet had given her any tips before going in front of the cameras for the ITV2 show, Molly told RadioTimes.com that her mum was “very open to the opportunities” the show will provide her daughter.
“We already have been very big fans of the show,” Molly explained.
She also added of her family: “They know how the show works and what it entails.
“So they are really excited for me and they know how much I love being in a relationship.
“They know that I love being in love, so they do want that for me again, so I can probably leave them alone a bit!”
Love Island airs weeknights and Sunday from 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
