Love Island’s Molly Mae mocks Tommy Fury’s ‘incredible Soccer Aid contribution’

Tommy Fury and the sensational team of celebrities and sportspeople of the World XI came out victorious in yesterday’s Soccer Aid for UNICEF match.

As the team celebrated on the podium, with fireworks splayed across the sunset sky, Molly Mae Hague shared a light-hearted jibe at her partner.

The 24-year-old shared the moment with her seven million followers writing: “Woohoo the winning team” with a white heart emoji.

She jokingly added: “Deffo from Tommys incredible contribution”, with a lying face emoji. (sic)

The reality star wasn’t the only one to take a stab at Tommy, with viewers using halftime to joke about the celebrities outside of their comfort zone on the pitch.

One fan joked on Twitter: “Tommy Fury runs like a npc.”

Another added a snap of a corgi wearing red boxing gloves on each of its feet titled: “Tommy Fury playing football.”

The professional boxer took to the pitch yesterday as part of a celebrity charity football match under the guidance of team captain Usain Bolt.

The team smashed past England’s defences for an incredible 4-2 finish, while raising £14,619,005 for the charity with the donation line staying open until tomorrow.

The World XI lineup also included the likes of Dragon’s Den star Steven Bartlett, Liam Payne, Mo Gilligan, and Maisie Adam.

Love Islander Kem Cetinay also made history at the match, scoring a goal in the second half and making himself the top scorer in Soccer Aid history.

Just before the match, Tommy left fans fawning over snaps of his shoes, which had been painted with his moniker TNT on one foot, with “Molly Mae” and “ Bambi” written on the other.

As the boxer played his heart out, up in the stands the Love Islander cheered on her beloved in what was her first outing in days.

The pair welcomed their first child together, daughter Bambi, in January and the new mum admitted the Soccer Aid match would mark her first time out of the house in four days.

Molly kept her fans eagerly updated as the match went on, cheering wildly when her partner ran onto the pitch.

She ended the evening sharing the real meaning behind the match, writing: “Great day for a great cause” on top of a picture of the stunning pink and purple sunset over the Old Trafford stadium.
