Love Island winners Ekin-Su and Davide confirm split 11 months after victory

Love Island winners Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti have split 11 months after their victory on the ITV2 show.

Italian businessman Davide, 27, took to Instagram to confirm his relationship with Turkish actress and model Ekin-Su, 28, is over.

He said in a statement: “Ekin Su and I are no longer together.

“I am grateful for the memories and opportunities we shared together and I wish her nothing but the best.

“I would like for everybody to respect the decision during this difficult time. I will continue to support Ekin in anyway possible.”

A source also claimed to The Sun that the couple “haven’t been getting along” recently.

They told the publication: “They haven’t been getting along for quite some time and they really tried to make it work, but despite their best efforts, they’ve decided to call it quits.”

Ekin-Su has not yet spoken out on the split.

Earlier today, the star took to her own Instagram to share a family reunion photo with her mum and aunt.

Ekin-Su and Davide rose to fame on Love Island last summer.

The couple beat finalists Luca Bish and Gemma Owen, and Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page.

They moved in together not long after leaving the ITV2 villa.

Just a few days prior to their split was announced, Ekin-Su and Davide were pictured together attending the Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny UK Premiere.

However, Ekin-Su has since flown back to Turkey to spend time with her loved ones.

She recently told The Sun that she is considering moving back home to pursue her dreams of acting there.

The star divulged: “I would actually love to go back to Turkey at some point and reconnect with some old agencies out there, who I was in a soap with.

“I speak both English and Turkish so why can’t I have a career in both countries?”
