Dimples Romana was ecstatic over meeting “Descendants of the Sun” star Song Joong-ki during her recent stint as a juror for the 50th International Emmy Awards in New York City.
The actress gushed over interacting with Song Joong-ki while showing a photo of them together via her Instagram page yesterday, Nov. 23.
“Many of my dreams came true with that [New York City] trip for the [International Emmys] and I can’t wait to share them all with you, but for now, let me share this,” Romana told fans.
“Hi Mr. Song Joong-ki. It was such a pleasure and huge honor to meet a fellow actor like you. I am a huge fan. We Filipinos love you,” she added.
Romana described Song Joong-ki as “warm” and “humble,” as well as “so handsome in person.”
“Just sharing my kilig (giddiness) as a fan. Halos ‘di ako makahinga n’yan (I could barely breathe then). Manifesting that in this lifetime I get to work and act alongside him,” she said.
Romana revealed last June that she was selected as a juror for the 50th International Emmy Awards, admitting it was one of the many “surprise blessings” she received at the time.
However, this is not the first time the actress was tapped to be a juror for the award-giving body. Romana was first invited to be a juror during the 48th International Emmy Awards in 2020. /ra
