PSG are building a sensational side under Mauricio Pochettino, with the likes of Sergio Ramos, Achraf Hakimi and Gianluigi Donnarumma already joining the club this summer.
The former Tottenham boss has an abundance of talent in his ranks and the Ligue 1 side have been installed as early favourites to lift the Champions League trophy.
PSG have never won the competition, but came close in 2020 when they were defeated by Bayern Munich in the final.
Messi’s last Champions League triumph came in 2015, when the Catalan giants saw off Juventus.
And the 34-year-old believes his move to France gives him the best chance of tasting European glory once again.

“Everyone knows how hard it was to leave Barcelona. Everything that happened to me this last week has been very strange. It has been hard – it has been emotional.
“I am very grateful that such complicated negotiations were made so easy. Truly, I feel this club is ready to fight for every title.”
Messi will link up with Kylian Mbappe and former Barca team-mate Neymar at the Parc des Princes to create one of the most fearsome attacking lines of all-time.
Mbappe’s eight Champions League goals last season were second only to Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland, while Neymar notched six times in the competition.
With Messi scoring an incredible 120 Champions League goals during his time at Barcelona, the PSG side possess the necessary firepower to go all the way.
And the six-time Ballon d’Or winner says the prospect of playing in such a potent attack is a ‘crazy’ one.
“[To play with Neymar and Mbappe] is really crazy and I am really happy about that,” added Messi.
“Sharing the day-to-day life with them and the squad, the team is incredible and I really want to train and compete now because I am going to be playing with the best players. It is an incredible experience.”
