A rag-tag bunch of celebrities from Hollywood movie stars to music sensations grabbed their kits and water bottles as they embarked on training for this year’s Soccer Aid.
Tom Hiddleston, Liam Payne, Stormzy, Danny Dyer, and Sir Mo Farah were among the stars training in preparation for Sunday’s charity match at Old Trafford.
They were joined by ex-Premier League footballers Jack Wilshere and Jermain Defoe as Lioness Jill Scott’s England team get set to take on Usain Bolt’s World XI.
Coaches Stormzy, Harry Redknapp, Vicky McClure, and David Seaman were seen putting the stars through their paces at Champnets Tring in preparation for the match to raise money for UNICEF.
And the training session really was a sight to behold packed full of frankly unbelievable moments, like Tom Hiddleston and Sir Mo Farah racing each other while Danny Dyer let off some steam on a space hopper.
Sir Farah also took a turn in goal, even managing to save a couple of shots in between cowering from the ball hurtling towards him most of the time, according to reports.
Former Love Island winner Kem Cetinay was spotted laughing alongside former Manchester United ace Patrice Evra and Arsenal legend Seaman, while One Direction star Liam Payne looked the epitome of cool in sunglasses and a headband taming his wild hair.
YouTube star Chunkz got competitive with television presenter Andy Goldstein, while former Arsenal star Jack Wilshere dusted off his boots to hit the pitch following his retirement in 2022.
Other stars set to take part include Paddy McGuinness, Scarlette Douglas, Gary Neville, and Bugzy Malone.
Chelsea owner Mauricio Pochettino, former Premier League marksman Robbie Keane, Line Of Duty star Martin Compston, and Spice Girl Melanie C will also appear in the dugout as coaches.
The game will be broadcast on ITV and STV, with a live stream available on ITVX.
This is the first time since 2020 that Old Trafford will host the game when it was played behind closed doors due to the pandemic.
Soccer Aid 2023 kicks off on ITVX and STV on Sunday, June 11 at 7.30pm.
