Rapper Kodak Black was arrested in July on drug possession charges and has now reportedly asked for his vehicle and cash back after they were seized by cops.

The US musician is awaiting a bond hearing after originally being pulled over by cops for having illegal window tinting in his car windows.

According to CNN, his windows ‘appeared to be darker than the legal limit’, with officers allegedly also discovering that Black’s license and registration were both expired.

While searching the vehicle, authorities are then said to have found 31 oxycodone pills, which is a narcotic drug that is highly addictive, but often prescribed to treat severe pain.

Police also supposedly found $74,960 (£63,230) in cash.

Now, Black – real name Bill Kapri – is said to want his car and money back from the Florida cops, with reports saying he is out of patience.

Black is reportedly asking the court to make Florida Highway Patrol officers return a purple Dodge Durango – which US media said he was driving at the time – and the wad of cash taken from his possession during the arrest.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Black’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen, says his client can prove that the car and cash were not involved in any illegal activity and do, in fact, belong to the rapper.

Cohen claims the Durango is registered to Florida-based record label Sniper Gang, which Black is a manager of.

The 25-year-old has also already handed in prescriptions for the pills found on him when he was arrested, with his lawyer adding that the cops hold ‘no legal basis’ to maintain possession of the vehicle.

As for the cash, the star’s attorney claims that he had that much money on him because he’s a rapper and that supposedly ‘goes with the territory’.

He said Black needs to have large sums of money on him to pay for expenses on tour, revealing he’s often paid in cash for performances.

The court is yet to make a ruling on whether the No Flockin musician can have his car or cash returned to him.

Kodak Black’s reps and Florida Highway Patrol have been contacted for comment.
