Globally, automakers are gravitating towards full electrification. But Maruti Suzuki believes the Indian market is still not ripe for a mass EV adoption. The strategy is to switch from strong hybrids to EVs three years down the line. For now, a fuel-efficient hybrid Grand Vitara will work as an important step in Maruti’s journey towards carbon neutrality.
