Kapuso actor Khalil Ramos belied accusations that he used a professional camera in taking pictures of Harry Styles during his concert in Bulacan last March 14, saying he was using only his smart phone.

After posting on social media several “professional-looking” photos of the English singer-songwriter during his concert at the Philippine Arena, one @flickertour took note of the quality of the pictures and called the “Maria Clara at Ibarra” star’s attention, saying professional cameras were not allowed during the gig.

The netizen has since deleted his tweet, but not before several other followers also noticed Ramos’ vivid photos.

But his girlfriend, Gabbi Garcia came to his defense, saying the photos were taken using just his phone, and were enhanced using an app.

“He took those photos using his phone. Edited it using the app “Lightroom” [emoji] we all followed the rules na bawal ang ‘professional’ camera. Sadyang magaling lang talaga jowa ko (We all followed the rule where professional cameras are not allowed. My boyfriend is just that good),” she said, while tagging her boyfriend’s Twitter account.

Ramos then reshared Garcia’s tweet, adding that smartphone cameras nowadays can take good pictures.

“If anyone can prove I brought a professional cam, bibigyan ko ng camera!! [emoji] but seriously, smartphone cameras are really good nowadays. You just have to learn how to use them,” he said.

The singer-actor also shared a series of photos, including close-up shots of a flower and drops of dew on a leaf, where he noted that “basic editing, composition and understanding exposure” are crucial in taking good pictures.

One fan also attested to Ramos’ use of his phone during the concert.

The accuser @flickertour then apologized to Ramos and Garcia for the accusation on her personal Twitter account.

“About the ‘professional camera’ tweet, I am sorry po for accusing Khalil of using [a DLSR camera] during [Styles’ concert]. I own up to my mistakes. it won’t happen again,” they said.

Ramos and Garcia, who have been in a relationship since 2017, are some of the Filipino celebrities who danced the night away at Styles concert last week. Also spotted were James Reid, Issa Pressman, Donny Pangilinan, Belle Mariano, and Darren Espanto, among others.

Styles, who was previously a member of boy band One Direction before their indefinite hiatus, is best known for his hit songs “Adore You,” “Music For A Sushi Restaurant,” “As It Was,” and “Sign of the Times.” EDV
